We do not believe in empty gestures: we believe in what can be measured, shown and verified. This is how a wellness centre in the heart of Bilbao looks after its environment.
We have planted 30 trees and offset 0.1 t of CO2.
One stroke, one tree. The count began in June 2026 and is never reset.
Part of Arcadea's activity is turned into funding for tree planting and certified CO2 reduction projects, through our partnership with Ecologi.
The projects are carried out by organisations specialising in reforestation and carbon removal, with independent verification of every tree and every tonne.
We are not asking you to take our word for it. We publish every certificate in our climate register, and the live data is verified by a third party.

Sustainability is not an add-on at Arcadea: it is in the way we choose our products, in how we manage the space and in the people and companies we work with.
Every decision we make, from the oil we use in a session to the energy the room consumes, goes through the same question: can we do this better?
Four fronts, all of them concrete.
Real sustainability is built in everyday things. This is what we do in each area, without embellishment: what comes into the centre, what it consumes and what it leaves behind.
Every product that comes into Arcadea meets strict criteria: verifiable natural origin, no controversial ingredients and, wherever possible, organic or bio-cosmetic certification. The carrier oils for our massages are cold-pressed and unrefined.
We do not use any product containing microplastics, parabens, phthalates or chemical UV filters with a known environmental impact. What we put on the skin matters as much as what we do not.
High-efficiency LED lighting in every room, and heating and cooling on a timer so nothing is consumed outside working hours. We opt for renewable energy suppliers for the centre.
The treatment-room linen — sheets, towels, wraps — is GOTS-certified organic cotton, washed with eco-friendly detergents at a reduced temperature. We separate waste at source and work with authorised handlers for cosmetic waste.
We have removed disposable plastics from our treatment rooms: refillable dispensers, reusable containers and materials designed to last, not to be thrown away.
We are members of Bilbao Centro and Bilbao Dendak. Whenever we can, we choose suppliers from the Basque Country or elsewhere in Spain: cutting kilometres from the supply chain reduces emissions and strengthens the economic fabric around us.
And we encourage you to come without a car: we are 3 minutes from the tram and 5 from the metro and Renfe.

Offsetting is the floor, not the ceiling.
Offsetting does not replace reduction: it goes alongside it. We are measuring the full footprint of our activity in order to set specific, verifiable reduction targets.
In the meantime, the forest grows every month and our product selection is held to ever more demanding criteria.
